Rödl & Partner Italy promotes seven new managers

Chiara Benvenuto is an Attorney at law (Italy) in the Data P​rotection, Cyber Security and I​nnovation department at Rödl & Partner Italy. She has gained professional experience in some of Italy's leading law firms. Attorney at law (Italy) since 2018, she provides judicial and extrajudicial advice on data protection and new technology law. In particular, she advises data protection officers at numerous national and international companies, actively collaborates in the management of IT security issues and oversees online information protection. Co-author of several manuals, she regularly participates in training courses and conferences.

Rosa Ciamillo is an Attorney at law (Italy) in the Administrative Law Department and part of the Energy Team. Her main activities include providing judicial and extrajudicial assistance to Italian and foreign clients on renewable energy, real estate investments, and transactions in regulated sectors, with particular reference to public contracts. With specific reference to the energy sector, she is responsible for legal due diligence on production plants and related grid connection works, including contracts for the availability of the areas concerned, procurement contracts, O&M and energy sales. Her litigation activities cover all the above areas, at every stage of proceedings before the Administrative Court.

Monica Esegio is an A​ccountant in the Tax Team at the Padua office and has been working with Rödl & Partner Italy since 2016. She mainly provides accounting, tax and fiscal advice to both national and international companies. With regard to indirect taxes, she specialises in VAT issues and cases at national, EU and non-EU level. She has also gained experience in customs management for import-export operations, analysing the correct accounting and tax treatment of personnel costs, tax compliance in bankruptcy proceedings, and due diligence checks with a particular focus on tax and payroll issues.

Erald Karriqi is a Certified Tax Consultant and Statutory Auditor (Italy) at Rödl & Partner Italy's Bolzano office. He mainly provides tax, accounting and corporate advice to national and international companies, assistance in tax litigation and assistance and support in M&A transactions and tax and financial due diligence activities.

Nicola Sandon is an Attorney at law (Italy) in the Data Protection and Cybersecurity Department at Rödl & Partner Italy. An Attorney at law (Italy) since 2018, he has gained professional experience in leading national law firms in the field of personal data protection law and new technologies. He is a UNI 17740:2024 certified Data Protection Officer, holding this role both independently and as a member of specialised teams supporting the position. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Padua, where he teaches the course ‘Data Protection Legislation’ in the department of Economics and Business. Co-author of manuals and author of various articles on the subject, he regularly conducts training and conferences. Since October 2022, he has been working with the Data Protection Team at Rödl & Partner Italy.

Maria Hilda Schettino is Attorney at law (Italy) specializing in corporate criminal law, ethics and compliance, and ESG matters. She assists multinational corporations across various industries with legal and compliance issues, particularly in the implementation of compliance systems—including organizational models pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001, codes of ethics, whistleblowing systems, policies, procedures, and controls—aimed at promoting lawful and ethical behavior while preventing criminal offenses and other violations. She is involved in overseeing corporate supervisory body activities and training company personnel on topics within her expertise. She participates in legal due diligence projects, focusing on criminal, reputational, and compliance aspects, as well as corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives. Additionally, she provides legal assistance in criminal law matters, both in litigation and out-of-court proceedings. She is the author of numerous publications on corporate criminal law and compliance in legal journals and is a speaker at conferences and postgraduate master’s programs.

Edoardo Tosetto is Attorney at law (Italy), in the product liability and directors' liability team at Rödl & Partner Italy. He has gained extensive experience in leading law firms in the field of product liability, with a particular focus on corporate compliance for the US market. He has participated in numerous conferences as a speaker on product liability and has also contributed to various publications for legal journals specialising in this field. He also assists domestic and international clients in civil, corporate and bankruptcy litigation and, in particular, in legal proceedings - including precautionary measures - concerning the liability of management bodies, as well as in issues related to the enforcement of international commercial contracts. He holds management positions in joint-stock companies and has been appointed as a member of the Board of Arbitrators of GIMAV for the five-year period 2025-2029.
