On August 26th, 2019, the Data State Inspectorate (DSI) imposed a fine on a local online retailer in the amount of EUR 7 000,- for the systematic infringement of the rights of the data subject, as well as continuous failure to cooperate with the DSI officials investigating complaint of the aforementioned data subject against the online retailer.
On 10th July 2019, the European Data Protection Board (“EDPB”) adopted its draft Guidelines, that are still subject to approval, on the processing of personal data through video surveillance (no. 3/2019).

The website uodo.gov.pl has recently published a decision of the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office imposing a fine on Morele.net sp. z o.o. for insufficient organisational and technical security measures. The President has imposed a fine of more than 2,830,410 million zloty (EUR 660,000) which has resonated across media.
